DTOWN Nightlife
People are always asking me what Dallas is all about….so I have an answer for all of you questionnaires out there….
Nightlife in Dallas varies in what area you are in and what night of the week like most cities. Parking is usually easy everywhere you go and if not places usually offer valet for around $5. Dallas is know for having some upscale places but there are few places that are very expensive or exclusive. Cost in living in Dallas is cheap so most places have reasonable drink prices and no cover. For any nights other than Friday or Saturday you need to know where to go.
Where to Party
Uptown, Greenville, Downtown and Addison are the most popular places for young professionals to go out. Downtown Dallas night life has increased since 2000 with the addition of several new bars and clubs and renovation projects. Downtown has many clubs and more upscale places and gets the 20s and 30s crowd. Uptown is similar with several bars and restaurants scattered along McKinney Avenue. Addison gets the 20s, 30s and 40s crowd and has quite a few places that cater to the 30s, 40s and up crowd. Greenville is mostly 20s and early 30s and gets a lot of the younger party crowd. Venues on Lower Greenville tend to be less upscale and more laid back.
